Bradenton, Florida -- Superman, Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk could all make an appearance Saturday night at McKechnie Field.

The Bradenton Marauders are hosting Super Hero night.

Fans can dress like their favorite super hero.

The first 500 through the gates, which open at 5:30 p.m., receive a free Marauders cape.

McKechnie Field goes to the dogs

Bradenton, Florida -- The Bradenton Marauders will host "Bark in the Park" Friday night at McKechnie Field.

Man's best friend is allowed to attend the game for $2.

All dogs must stay on a leash at all times and must be current on vaccinations.

A similar promotion is scheduled for Aug. 17.

Bradenton, Florida -- Bradenton Marauders fans used to watching the team play at McKechnie Field will get the chance see them in action at a different venue.

A bus trip to Ft. Myers is planned for Aug. 23 to see the Marauders take on the Miracle at Hammond Stadium.

$30 includes a ride to the game on a chartered bus including snacks and refreshments, a pre-game picnic, and a ticket to the game.

Bradenton, Florida -- The Bradenton Marauders will host "Ladies Night" on Thursday, July 12.

The promotion includes drink specials and special giveaways, including a diamond pendant valued at $2,800.

The game against Brevard County starts at 6:30 p.m.

Bradenton, Florida -- The Bradenton Marauders will host a "Senior Prom" on Monday, July 9 at McKechnie Field.

But the event may not be what you think. It's for all senior citizens.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and the festivities include a king and queen contest, prom pictures, and live music.

The game starts at 5 p.m.

County invites public to 2nd United Way Team Bowling Tournament

Manatee County, Florida – Let’s grab a lane! Manatee County invites the public to the second ever United Way Team Bowling Tournament on Saturday, July 21.

For a $30 entry fee, entrants will receive three bowling games and shoe rental, pizza and soda. The first place team will receive $500. Second place will receive $350 and third place wins $200. Men’s and women’s scratch game winners will also receive $75. Proceeds will benefit the United Way of Manatee County.

Palmetto, Florida -- The Palmetto Community Redevelopment Agency plans an Independence Day celebration at Sutton Park.

The event starts at 5 p.m.

A concert from Three Dog Night begins at 7 p.m., with fireworks getting underway at 7 p.m.

The event is free.
