Marauders host end of the season bash

Bradenton, Florida -- To celebrate the end of the 2012 season, the Bradenton Marauders have scheduled a party for fans.

The event is scheduled for Sept. 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Holiday Inn Sarasota Bradenton Airport.

RSVP is required by Sept. 21.

The Marauders averaged a team record 1,515 fans per game during the 2012 season.

Manatee schools to participate in "Walk for Life"

Manatee schools to participate in "Walk for Life"

Bradenton, Florida -- Students, teachers, parents, and staff of Manatee County Schools will participate in the Manatee Glens "Walk for Life".

The 10th annual event on Sept. 22 will be held at Sutton Park in Palmetto.

The walk raises awareness about suicide prevention and provides support for families who have been impacted by suicide.

Southeast High to hold 'Red Out' at football game Friday

Bradenton, Florida -- In an effort to raise awareness for heart disease, Southeast High School will host a 'Red Out' during its football game against Booker high School Sept. 14.

Instead of Blue and Orange on one side and Purple and Gold on the other, the schools are asking fans to wear Red.

During the game, the teams will honor and remember loved ones while helping to fight heart disease and strokes. Teams, students and community members are encouraged to purchase and wear an American Heart Association “Rock the Beat” shirt to school and to the game in honor of loved ones.

Bradenton, Florida -- Opportunities to catch the 2012 Bradenton Marauders are dwindling down.

The team has just five home games left before the season ends Sept. 2.

The Marauders host a three game series with the Fort Myers Miracle starting Aug. 27.

McKechnie Field will also be home to a two game set with the St. Lucie Mets to close out the year Sept. 1 - 2.

Marauders host "Babies on Deck" night

Bradenton, Florida -- The Bradenton Marauders will host a "Babies on Deck" promotion for the team's game on Tuesday, Aug. 28.

The first 1,000 fans will receive a Trevor Gooby bobble figure.

He's the Pittsburgh Pirates Director of Florida operations, who helped deliver a baby at McKechnie Field last year.

A face painter and balloon artist will also be on hand for kids.

Bradenton, Florida -- With the start of the 2012-13 school year right around the corner, the Bradenton Marauders are hosting "Back to School Night".

The first 1,000 fans receive a Marauders backpack at the team's Aug. 14 game at McKechnie Field.

The game starts at 6:30 p.m.

$1 tickets are also available for employees of the Manatee County School District.

Marauders want to see macho men at the ballpark

Bradenton, Florida -- The Bradenton Marauders will host men's night for Thursday's game and are inviting all "macho men" out to the ballpark.

The team will give away "manly" prizes throughout the game.

$1 small draft beers and sodas will also be on sale.

Also included in the promotion is a pre-game father-son game of catch on the field, starting at 5:50 p.m.

The game at McKechnie Field starts at 6:30.
