Marauders host Anna Maria Island night

Bradenton, Florida-- The Bradenton Marauders will host and island-themed evening for Anna Maria Island Night on Friday, April 20.

A portion of the ticket sales will benefit the Anna Maria Island Community Center.

The game against the Ft. Myers Miracle at McKechnie Field starts at 6:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Happy Hour and live music by Pier 22 Restaurant offers up free hot dogs and drink specials provided by Kayem and Cheney Brothers.

The first 500 fans receive a Marauders beach ball.

7th Great Florida Gulf Coast Small Craft Festival

Cortez, Florida -- The Florida Gulf Coast chapter of the Traditional Small Craft Association is hosting the 7th Great Florida Small Craft Festival April  21 & 22. 

Boaters will bring their traditional small crafts to the village of Cortez (the very same village that gives you the annual Commercial Fishing Festival) to compete in various categories including racing them over a course and displaying them for their construction.

Bradenton, Florida -- April is not typically the time to break out your Halloween costume, but the Bradenton Marauders are asking you to.

The team will hold a "1/2 way to Halloween" trick-or-treat party at McKechnie Field on Friday night.

The first 500 fans will get free trick-or-treat bags.

Free hot dogs will also be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Gates open at 5:30, with the game starting at 6:30.

Marauders gear up for Opening Day

Bradenton, Florida -- Opening day for the Bradenton Marauders is scheduled for April 5, with a home game against the St. Lucie Mets.

Several events, though, will be held for fans leading up to that day.

On April 2, individual game tickets go on sale.

The next day, the team's roster will be announced at a breakfast at the Manatee Chamber of Commerce, starting at 6 a.m.

On April 4, the team will also hold a workout at McKechnie Field, open to the public, from 6 - 8 p.m.

Opening night will also feature fireworks after the game.

Baseball clinic for women offered

Bradenton, Florida -- The Bradenton Marauders will host a "Baseball Basics for Women" clinic on March 29.

The clinic will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at McKechnie Field.

It costs $40 per person.

The goal is for young adult and adult women to learn or refine their baseball fundamentals.
