MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Dec. 19, 2013) – Manatee County Commissioners on Tuesday took action to extend through the end of January, 2014, the deadline for a public commenting period for proposed changes to the County’s Land Development Code.

The Visitor Center, trails and parking areas will remain closed until the government reopens. All park programs, including kayak programs, and special events have been canceled.

Manatee County, Florida -- The Public Hearing on the Budget to be held tomorrow, Thursday, August 29, 2013, was arranged by Superintendent Rick Mills and the School Board of Manatee County to provide an additional avenue for public input into the budget process over and above what is required by the state of Florida.

Tomorrow's Public Hearing will be held in the Board Chambers at the School Support Center located at 215 Manatee Ave. W., in Bradenton. The Hearing begins at 1 p.m.
