Winning "Fantasy 5" ticket sold in Bradenton Wednesday

Bradenton, Florida -- If you bought a "Fantasy 5" ticket in Bradenton Wednesday - check your pockets! A winning ticket was sold in the area and its worth more than $26,000.

Florida lottery says eight winners will collect $26,161.13 each. The other winning tickets were sold in Fort Lauderdale, Vero Beach, Orlando, Lake Worth, Tampa, Sarasota and Miami.

The 418 tickets matching four numbers won $80.50 each. Another 10,638 tickets matching three numbers won $8.50 each and 96,234 tickets won a Quick Pick ticket for picking two numbers.

FishHawk, FL -- Calling all quilters!

The FishHawk Quilters meet once a month during the school year to offer all FishHawk Ranch residents interested in quilting a place to gather and work on their projects.  

November's meeting will be held on Friday, November 1st, at the Osprey Club from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This group is open to all FishHawk Ranch residents who are over the age of 18 years. Members need to bring all of their own sewing supplies (including sewing machine) necessary to work on their sewing project.

A.J. Grant named General Manager of Bradenton Marauders

Bradenton, Florida -- The Pittsburgh Pirates announced a new Manager of McKechnie Field Operations and General Manager of the Bradenton Marauders.

A.J. Grant will oversee the day to day operations of McKechnie Field as well as continue to assist with sales and marketing efforts for the Marauders.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to connect with our very passionate fans,” Grant said. “Our entire staff is hard at work planning our 2014 promotional schedule and getting ready for another great season.”
