Robbery leads to two-county police chase
News

Bradenton, Florida -- Deputies say robbery suspects led them on a chase through Manatee and Hillsborough counties early Thursday morning.

The Manatee Sheriff's Office says the chase began after several men approached a car stopped at an intersection. They allegedly demanded money from the driver and fired a gun into the air. After the victim gave the suspects cash, they fled from the scene.

A short time laer, deputies spotted the suspects' vehicle on I-75 and began a pursuit.  The suspects refused to stop and the chase continued north on the interstate into Hillsborough County.

The suspects eventually got off at Exit 246 (Big Bend Road). Hillsborough deputies deployed stop sticks near US 41 and Riverview Road, hitting two tires. The vehicle ultimately stopped stopped, and deputies say four suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Cash was recovered, but so far no weapons have been found.  Investigators say the suspects' vehicle was stolen out of Tampa.

Arrested are: 24-year-old Demario Murray, 17-year-old De'Eric Moore, 22-year-old Antwon Moore, and 20-year-old Timothy Jefferson, all from Tampa.
