Bradenton, Florida -- More than 800 students representing at least 20 schools and more than 1,000 spectators are expected to take part in the Manatee County School District’s Annual Elementary School Track Meet this Saturday, April 20, beginning at 9 a.m. at Bayshore High School.

Always a great event, the Elementary School Track Meet gives young students a chance to showcase their athletic skills in events like the 400-Meter Dash and the 4x100-Meter Relay – always a crowd favorite.

The primary goal of the elementary school meet is to promote physical fitness while building camaraderie and school spirit among students. A host of community organizations such as the Elks Lodge and Children’s Therapy Solutions help sponsor and promote this event.

For more information on Saturday’s Elementary School Track Meet, please contact Manatee District Trainer Chris Bratton at 518-1051.
