Bay area student wins Google Science Fair | News
Lakewood Ranch, Florida -- Talk about making a difference -- a 17-year-old Bay area student may have the key to diagnosing breast cancer.
Out of 5,000 entries from more than 100 countries, she was one of 21 finalists in the Google Science Fair. Brittany Wenger of Lakewood Ranch not only won her age bracket, she took home top prize in the science fair.
Her global neural network cloud service for breast cancer aims to help reduce the number of malignant false negatives. With doctors contributing globally over the cloud, the network could improve medical diagnosis.
