Summer schools, programs to resume normal scheduling

Tampa, Florida-- Some summer classes and programs will resume normal scheduling tomorrow after Tropical Storm Debby closures.

The following counties have announced their return to normal scheduling:


  • Pinellas County Schools: Currently scheduled to run as normal on Tuesday, June 26. If the weather forecast causes plans to change, information can be accessed at www.pcsb.org, or (727) 588-6424.  
  • The City of Tampa: Summer camps and speciality camps will be open for normal operating hours on Tuesday, June 26. Tuesday's forecast calls for more rain and strong winds, which may cause flooding and other hazardous conditions in some areas. Parents are urged to monitor the weather and road conditions prior to dropping child(ren) off for camp. For more information, visit tampagov.net/AlertTampa, or call (813) 274-7723.

  • State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF): will resume normal operations Tuesday, June 26, following a one-day closure due to Tropical Storm Debby. All classes, offices, and regularly scheduled activities on all campuses and off-site locations will resume their normal schedules.
  • The academic schedule for Summer classes has been revised as follows: Summer A final exams, originally scheduled Monday, June 25, will be conducted Tuesday, June 26. Summer B classes, originally scheduled to start Tuesday, June 26, will begin Wednesday, June 27.
