Bradenton man arrested for aggravated battery on a deputy | News
BRADENTON, Fla. -- A Bradenton man is in jail after allegedly striking a patrol vehicle while fleeing authorities.
According to deputies, 23-year-old Lawrence Isom nearly struck a deputy with his car after someone called in a noise complaint around 2:50 Sunday morning.
Deputies reportedly spotted Isom's vehicle shortly afterwards and a chase ensued. It ended in a dead end street several minutes later.
Deputies say Isom turned his car around and hit a K-9 patrol vehicle. The deputy driving the patrol car fired at Isom's Ford Mustang, striking it several times but not hitting the suspect.
Isom has been charged with multiple crimes, including aggravated battery and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
No one was injured in the incident.
