Bradenton, Fl. - Do you want to sing the National Anthem in front of 7,000 people? You'll have the chance at the upcoming auditions for the Pittsburgh Pirates Spring Training games!

Auditions are open to anyone interested in singing The Star Spangled Banner before a Pirates Spring Training game. Auditions will be a cappella and must be no longer than two minutes in length. Auditions will take palce February 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McKechnie Field.

There is no pre-registration. Prospective singers will perform in the order they sign up on the day of auditions. Registrations will close at noon.

Pirates employees will supervise the auditions and determine which performers will fill open spots on the schedule.

Contestants that wish to sing the Canadian National Anthem before the game against Toronto on Thursday, March 6 and Tuesday, March 25 can audition using that selection.

The Pirates will play a 16-game home schedule at McKechnie Field beginning with the Black and Gold intrasquad game on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
