Guinness World Records attempt at 15th Annual Canine Christmas Festival

Bradenton, Florida -- A Guinness World Records attempt will be made this weekend at the 15th annual Canine Christmas Festival. The goal is to have 100 dogs doing a sit/stay at one time.

It will take place at the Bishop Animal Shelter on 59th Street in Bradenton. Bring your well-behaved dogs on a leash on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sign up will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the sit/stay attempt will take place at 12:00 p.m. Dogs must have a current inoculation tag.

The Canine Christmas Festival is fun for dog owners and their pups and for those looking to adopt a dog! This year the festival features rescue and shelter dogs for adoption, promotions for spay/neuter program for cats and dogs, a canine fashion show, games, contests, pet pictures with Santa, a 50/50 drawing, raffles, silent auction, vendors and much more!

All proceeds are used by Animal Network, Inc. 501c3 for animal welfare in the community. This year it is promoting the No Kill agenda for Manatee County.

There is a $3.00 parking donation. For more information, visit www.caninechristmas.com.
