The Manatee County NAACP seeks opinions from community on education

Bradenton, Florida -- You are invited to attend the Manatee County Schools' Citizens' Advisory Committee series to voice your opinion on priorities relevant to the Manatee School Board's 2014-2015 Budget and the 5-year Strategic Plan.

The Manatee County NAACP says the goal of the meetings is to include the community's input into the strategic planning processes to give them a sense of ownership in these important endeavors.

The meetings will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the following dates and locations:

11/4/13 - King Middle School             600 75th St. NW, Bradenton              

11/7/13 - Harlee Middle School           6423 9th Street East, Bradenton

11/12/13 - Buffalo Creek Middle         7320 69th Street E., Palmetto             

11/14/13 - GD Rogers Elementary      515 13th Ave. W., Bradenton    

11/19/13 - Lakewood Ranch               5500 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., Bradenton     

11/21/13 – Lincoln Middle                 305 17th St. W., Palmetto 

The meetings will include food, homework help, tutoring and other educational activities for children of all ages.
