Bradenton, Florida -- On Thursday, Feb. 14, the public is invited for the dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for Manatee Techincal Institute's new main campus.

The new Manatee Tech represents a modern, high-tech training facility to meet the workforce needs of Manatee County. Over 2,000 students a year are expected to be served in the new 210,000 square-foot building, which cost approximately $44 million.

The ceremony will include the recognition of those individuals who contributed to the creation of the first-class institution.

Those scheduled to speak at the event included School Board of Manatee County Chair Karen Carpenter, Superintendent David E. Gayler, Manatee County Chamber of Commerce President Bob Bartz, MTI Board of Governors Chairman Emeritus Dr. Richard Conard, and MTI Board of Governors and MTI Foundation Chair John Ziemnicki.

The ceremony begins at 3 p.m. at 6305 State Road 70 East.
