Police investgate fatal shootout outside home

Bradenton, Florida -- Bradenton Police are investigating a fatal shooting outside a home Sunday night.

Authorities say the shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. Three black men reportedly held up Joshua Pinkham and Roy Potter while they were hanging out in the carport at a home in the 4200 block of 24th Street West.

The three men were dressed in black and had masks over their faces. One of them, later identified as 26-year-old James Brady, pointed a gun at Pinkham and ordered him to the ground. Instead, Pinkham pulled out a gun and the two exchanged gunfire. 

Man arranges with assumed parent to meet minor for sex

Bradenton, Florida -- A man looking to help teach a young girl about sex got quite a shock when he was met by deputies instead.

An undercover detective posing on a social networking site as a mother looking for someone to teach her 11-year-old daughter about sex got a hit from Timothy Jasonis.

Jasonis told the detective he would have sex with her and arranged a meet-up.

Man robs miniature golf course

Bradenton, Florida -- Manatee County deputies are searching for a man who robbed a miniature golf course Tuesday night.

Deputies say around 10:16 p.m., the man approached a clerk who was sitting by the picnic table at Smuggler's Cove Adventure Golf on Cortez Road, forced her back into the office and had her empty the cash drawer. He then fled north through the parking lot. K-9 units responded and but lost the track behind a Chinese buffet.

He is described as a white male, 5'10" and 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red bandanna, gray shorts and shirt.

Tools worth thousands stolen from Goodwill trucks

Sarasota, Florida -- Goodwill Industries Manasota is reporting thousands of dollars worth of tools were stolen Tuesday from three of their maintenance trucks.

During the burglary, they say the trucks were parked in the organization's facilities parking lot in Sarasota when they were broken into after the thieves cut through the lot's fence. In all, $5,000 worth of hand tools were taken.

Manatee deputies search for bank robber

Bradenton, Florida -- Manatee County detectives are searching for a man who robbed a local bank this morning.

Authorities say the man walked into First Bank in the 1400 block of 53rd Avenue West around 9:20 a.m. and handed the teller a demand note. He then walked out and drove away in a late model black or brown Ford pickup truck with an extended tailgate and tinted windows.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a white male in his late 40's, about 6 feet tall, with a thin build, short hair and was last seen wearing dark blue shorts and a dark colored polo shirt.

Bradenton, Florida -- Detectives have arrested a 21-year-old man for stabbing a man to death in his driveway on Nov. 3.

After an extensive investigation, which included numerous witness interviews, detectives gathered enough evidence to arrest Pablo Estrada for 49-year-old Juan Santiago Reyes-Tapia's murder.
