Man who violently attacked ex-girlfriend sought

Bradenton, Florida -- Deputies are searching for a Bradenton man who is accused of violently attacking his ex-girlfriend early Sunday morning.

Manatee Sheriff's deputies say on Nov. 17, at approximately 3:30 a.m., they received a call regarding a domestic battery at a home in the 6000 block of 11th St Ct. E.

When they arrived, Irma Andino, 29, told deputies she was attacked by her former boyfriend and father of her child, 31-year-old German Vasquez.

She said when Vasquez met up with her to drop off their child, they got into an argument and Vasquez became physical with her. He began punching her and swinging a knife, cutting her several times.

Vasquez then ran off while Andino was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Vasquez for attempted murder.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call MSO at 941-747-3011, ext. 1942 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
