Man steals employer's car, suspected in other burglaries | Crime
Sarasota, Florida -- Sarasota deputies were finally able to wrangle a man into custody after he stole his employer's car and fled when they tried to pull him over. And the charges, they say, may not stop there.
During the arrest of 34-year-old Frank Felix, deputies recovered a large jewelry box that was stolen in a Manatee County burglary and a crow bar. Authorities are continuing to investigate to see if he is connected with other burglaries in either county.
For now, Felix has been charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Fleeing to Elude, Resisting Arrest without Violence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Burglary Tools and two counts of Violation of Probation. He is being held without bond for violating probation, and $16,510 bond on the remaining charges.
