Argument leads to deadly step-brother shooting | Crime
Bradenton, Florida -- Deputies say an argument led to a deadly shooting between two step-brothers in Manatee County.
The sheriff's office says the argument happened Thursday night in the front yard of a Bradenton home between 31-year-old George Garnett and his step-brother, 24-year-old Roy Harrison.
Garnett's sister was inside the home when she heard a loud gunshot. She opened a window and reportedly saw Garnett lying on the ground, with Harrison standing over him. The sister tells deputies she then saw Harrison shoot Garnett one more time in the head.
Harrison then fled the scene on his scooter.
Garnett was taken to an area hospital, where he died. His step-brother was found by detectives a short time later and arrested for murder.
Investigators recovered the gun believed to be used in the shooting under a pile of brush behind another house. Harrison's scooter was also found at that address.
