New prices for 2014 at The South Florida Museum

Bradenton, Fl. - As you plan ahead for activities for your family in the new year, The South Florida Museum has made some changes to its pricing. 

On the first Saturday of most months, you can explore the Museum in a whole new way on Family Night! Get into the museum for half price after 4:00 p.m.

On Film Friday, the cost is $3 for museum members and $5 for the general public. You can go to the museum on most Fridays at 6:00 p.m. to enjoy movies!

Former Bucs, Florida State player dies in hotel

BRADENTON, Florida (AP) - Former NFL and Florida State offensive tackle Todd Williams has been found dead in a Tampa Bay area hotel.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports that deputies responded to the Sarasota Suites late Monday morning, just hours before Williams' alma mater won a national championship.

The 35-year-old Bradenton native had reportedly complained to his mother of feeling sick on Friday. When she went to the hotel to check on him Monday, she found him unresponsive.

Cattle Industry expands in East Manatee County
